Golf Fundraiser Update

teeoff_logo_kwame_darkdate2020-emailFor 17 years The Kwame Foundation has hosted its annual golf tournament, and we are grateful for the incredible support from each one of you.

Our volunteers and sponsors have dedicated countless hours each year to ensure that the annual golf fundraiser is successful. Your support has helped many first-generation, college bound students, raising an astounding 1.5 million dollars. We want to thank each of you for helping create educational opportunities for deserving students.

Over 12,000 people in the Missouri area have been impacted by the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. In light of that along with the recent stay-at-home orders issued across the country, it is with a heavy heart that we are announcing for the first time in our history that we are canceling our annual event.

We are exploring virtual fundraising ideas for later this year so that our foundation can continue to help provide funding to Missouri college bound students. We will communicate our plans to you over the coming weeks.

Though the tournament is canceled, the needs of our college bound students continue

While we are saddened to have to cancel our event, the need still continues in significant ways. The Kwame Foundation is researching ways to distribute funding to students impacted by the coronavirus.
